Chelsea have reportedly been told by Bayer Leverkusen to wrap up a deal for Kai Havertz by August 28.
The Blues have been tipped to move for the highly-rated attacker for some time, and Chelsea's pursuit of Havertz is expected to gather pace following Leverkusen's exit from the Europa League.
Havertz himself is believed to be keen on a move to Stamford Bridge, where he would link up with fellow attacking stars Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
However, with Leverkusen eager to end the protracted transfer saga before they report for pre-season, Bild reports that the Bundesliga outfit want a deal done in less than a fortnight's time.
Chelsea and Leverkusen supposedly remain apart in their valuation of the 21-year-old, though, with the Blues looking to strike a deal for £70m while Leverkusen are refusing to budge on their £90m asking price.
The Germany international enjoyed a stellar 2019-20 season with Leverkusen, registering 18 goals and nine assists across all competitions.
