Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that his side were the better team in all areas in Saturday evening's FA Cup fifth-round win over Chelsea.
Pellegrini said that his side were not out for revenge for the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea less than two weeks ago, but he was just pleased that his side played to his tactics.
"It wasn't revenge that drove us - but of course we don't want to lose two games to Chelsea at home," he told the club's official website.
"Today we played very well in all senses. Defending, in possession, attacking - Chelsea didn't have any chances to shoot and that was important to us.
"It's so easy for me to talk about tactics because we won - I don't think we had any tactical problems against Chelsea the other day - we know how they play, we know how we play."
City join Sunderland and Wigan Athletic in the draw for the quarter-finals.
