Steve Holland praises "absolutely immense" Cesar Azpilicueta

Chelsea assistant manager Steve Holland says that defender Cesar Azpilicueta has been "absolutely immense" following his goal in the League Cup.

Chelsea assistant manager Steve Holland has praised Cesar Azpilicueta for his "absolutely immense" attitude this season.

The right-back opened the scoring for the Stamford Bridge side during their 2-0 win over Arsenal this evening, which secured them a place in the League Cup quarter-finals.

Holland told BBC Sport: "Cesar is a very popular guy and I know Jose Mourinho singled him out for being the type of player that, although he has had very little opportunity, his attitude has been absolutely immense and a lesson to all.

"I'm not sure he should have been there for goal but the fact that he had drive to get there is a testament to him."

The draw for the last eight of the League Cup takes place tomorrow.
