Chelsea interim coach Roberto Di Matteo reveals that Gary Cahill and David Luiz should be fit for the Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

Chelsea interim coach Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that Gary Cahill and David Luiz should be fit for the Champions League final.

The defensive duo had been doubtful for the match against Bayern Munich on Saturday, May 19 following hamstring injuries sustained in the last three weeks.

However, Di Matteo is unsure whether they will be able to play in Saturday's FA Cup final against Liverpool.

"They're progressing well with their injuries, but it's impossible for me to give you a date for their comeback now," the Italian told reporters. "Hopefully, they'll be ready before the Champions League final.

"We need to check their progress on a daily basis."

Chelsea will be bidding for their first Champions League trophy when they face Munich at the Allianz Arena later this month.
