Chelsea reportedly identify Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola as their top managerial target.

Chelsea have reportedly made an initial approach to tempt Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola to the club next season.

The Blues relieved Andre Villas-Boas of his duties on Sunday, with Roberto Di Matteo taking charge at the club until the end of the season.

Chelsea will attempt to put a summer deal together, however, in order to bring Guardiola to Stamford Bridge, according to The Mirror.

Guardiola has yet to extend his current contract with the European champions.
