Glen Johnson: 'Home fans will be crucial against Chelsea'

Glen Johnson believes that Liverpool supporters have a big part to play when they face Chelsea on Sunday.

Glen Johnson has claimed that the home support will be a big factor when Liverpool host Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

The England defender believes that Liverpool's supporters made a big difference to both teams when they beat Manchester City earlier this month, and he is hoping for a repeat against another one of their title rivals.

"When the atmosphere is that intense, it does give you that extra 10%, without a shadow of doubt," Johnson told reporters.

"I'm pretty sure the fans will be like they were against Man City and now we have to follow up with the same result.

"It definitely takes a bit out of you when you are the away team. Definitely."

Liverpool are currently five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
