Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly has claimed that he turned down a move to Chelsea in the summer transfer window because he 'feels good' with his current club.
It is widely thought that Chelsea were prepared to smash their transfer record to sign the 25-year-old in the summer, but the Blues eventually switched their attention to former defender David Luiz.
Koulibaly, who is a Senegal international, has hinted that it was his own decision to reject an approach from the Premier League club as he wanted to continue in Naples.
"I decided to stay because I feel good with this team," he told Il Mattino.
Koulibaly joined Napoli from Genk in the summer of 2014 and has made 81 appearances for the Serie A club, scoring one goal in the process.
