Robert Lewandowski's agent has reportedly cleared the way for the Bayern Munich striker to join Chelsea after informing Real Madrid that a move is not possible.
Los Blancos are said to have now ended their long-running pursuit of the Poland international, who has netted a further 40 goals in 47 games this season.
Marca claims that Lewandowski would be open to a Premier League switch, however, having spent the last eight years in Germany with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern.
The 29-year-old is Chelsea's top striking target ahead of next season, seen as the ideal person to take over from flop signing Alvaro Morata, and agent Pini Zahavi is said to have discussed a transfer with the player.
Lewandowski has scored 106 Bundesliga goals during his four years in Bavaria, winning the league title in each of those seasons.
