Report: Chelsea quote Borussia Dortmund £53m for Tiemoue Bakayoko

Chelsea reportedly slap a price tag of £53m on France midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko to ward off interest from Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea have reportedly put a price tag of £53m on Tiemoue Bakayoko to ward off interest from Borussia Dortmund.

The France midfielder has endured a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge since his summer arrival from Monaco and has only played 212 Premier League minutes since February.

Bundesliga giants Dortmund, meanwhile, are believed to be seeking replacements for the likes of Julian Weigl, Gonzalo Castro and Nuri Sahin, all of whom have been linked with moves away.

According to Sport 1, Chelsea have told BVB that Bakayoko would not be sold for anything less than £53m, a fee which the German club are likely to be unwilling to pay for one player.

The 23-year-old has made 27 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, scoring twice and recording two assists.
