Chelsea will reportedly bring in Philippe Coutinho to replace Eden Hazard if they are successful with their appeal against a two-window transfer ban.

Chelsea are reportedly ready to push ahead with an offer for Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho if they manage to overturn their transfer ban.

The Blues have been blocked from adding to their squad for the next year as a punishment for allegedly signing underage players - a decision they are expected to appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Should the Europa League winners be successful with their appeal, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio suggests that Coutinho will be high on their list of targets.

Eden Hazard all but confirmed his exit following Wednesday's victory over Arsenal in Baku and Di Marzio claims that Coutinho is being eyed up as his direct replacement.

Despite failing to impress during his 18 months at Camp Nou, Barcelona supposedly still value the Brazil international at £133m and will not sell for any less.
