Chelsea have reportedly ramped up their interest in Bayern Munich's Niklas Sule as part of their search for a new centre-back.
The Blues are said to be looking to strengthen at the back this summer, despite an impressive defensive record since Thomas Tuchel took charge in January.
According to The Athletic, Sule is a priority target for Tuchel, who has long admired the 29-cap Germany international.
Sule has spent the past four years at the Allianz Arena, but his future is uncertain as he prepares to enter the final year of his contract.
The same report suggests that Chelsea are ready to pounce for the 25-year-old, believing that Hansi Flick's imminent departure from Bayern will tempt the defender to leave.
