Chelsea are reportedly preparing a big-money offer to sign Ciro Immobile from Lazio in an attempt to keep manager Antonio Conte happy.
The Italy international is said to have been on Conte's bloated summer wishlist, only for the club to bring in just one new attacking option in Alvaro Morata.
According to The Sun, however, the 48-year-old may now get the chance to pair the two players together in 2018-19 as discussions have begun to recruit Lazio ace Immobile.
Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito has previously rejected an offer of £62m for the Italy international, but the same report claims that £53m may be enough come the end of the campaign, while a player-plus-cash offer has not been ruled out.
Immobile, a part of Juventus's youth team when Conte was at the club, already has 13 goals in 10 Serie A outings so far this season.
