Chelsea are on the brink of securing the double signing of Juventus left-back Alex Sandro and AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to reports.

Chelsea have set aside just under £100m to sign Juventus left-back Alex Sandro and AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to reports.

Since leaving Porto for Turin in 2015, Sandro has netted five goals in 74 appearances, with two league and cup doubles being won by the Bianconeri during that period.

Bakayoko, meanwhile, has made 92 appearances for Monaco, including 51 last season to help the principality side to the Ligue 1 title and the semi-finals of the Champions League.

According to The Mirror, both players will sign for Chelsea in the coming days, Sandro setting the Blues back £61m - a world record sum for a defender - and Bakayoko costing £37m.

The fee for the Brazil international would eclipse the £50m Paris Saint-Germain paid to buy his countryman David Luiz from Chelsea three years ago.

Blues manager Antonio Conte is reportedly looking to make six signings in the close season as he prepares to defend the Premier League title and also deal with the added workload of the Champions League.
