Shakhtar Donetsk star Douglas Costa has admitted that it would be a "dream" to play for Chelsea, amid speculation linking the midfielder with a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are said to have made a £16m bid for the two-time capped Brazilian international, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United in the past.
Costa has now hinted that an offer has in fact been made, claiming that he will do his all in order to land the "unique chance" of playing for the West London outfit.
"It would be a dream to play for Chelsea," he is quoted as saying by The Metro. "It's a unique chance. I will try to negotiate."
The 24-year-old is rumoured to have been on Chelsea's radar since joining Shakhtar in 2010, when he formed a partnership with current Stamford Bridge favourite Willian.
Jose Mourinho is also reported to still be in the hunt for Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado, despite manager Vincenzo Montella claiming that there was "no possibility" of the Colombian leaving the club this January.
