Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has reportedly been in contact with Real Madrid about a possible transfer this month.
Speculation over the Spain international's future has intensified after manager Antonio Conte left Fabregas on the bench for Monday night's Premier League opening win over West Ham United.
According to Spanish publication Sport, the snub has caused Fabregas to ponder his future at Stamford Bridge, even contacting Real president Florentino Perez about a move.
The report adds that Madrid are not jumping at the chance to sign Fabregas as manager Zinedine Zidane already has plenty of options in midfield.
The midfielder, who spent three seasons at Barcelona before joining Chelsea in 2014, has three years remaining on his current contract with the Blues.
