Spanish midfielder Gavi has reportedly turned down a third contract proposal from Barcelona.
The 17-year-old has made the breakthrough into the first team at Camp Nou this season, featuring on 35 occasions in all competitions, scoring twice and providing five assists in the process.
Gavi has entered the final 18 months of his contract with Barcelona, though, and the Catalan side are struggling to come to an agreement with him over an extension.
A recent report claimed that the Spain international is aware that he could receive a much higher salary by moving to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Liverpool both keen.
According to Marca, Gavi has now rejected a third contract offer from Barcelona, and the La Liga club are not prepared to increase the salary currently on the table.
The midfielder, who has been with his current side since the age of 11, will be free to negotiate with foreign clubs next January if he does not sign an extension at Camp Nou.
Gavi has scored twice and provided five assists in 24 La Liga appearances this season.
