Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has reportedly told the club that he will only agree to a new contract if they are able to drag themselves back into the Champions League.
The Blues have missed out on a top-four spot in two of the last three seasons, and will play Europa League football this term by virtue of their fifth-place finish in 2017-18.
Hazard was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, but has since confirmed that he will not be leaving the club before the European transfer deadline on August 31.
However, the Belgian has so far offered no indication that he is ready to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge, despite Chelsea offering a five-year deal worth £300,000 per week.
The Daily Star reports that Hazard will only consider putting pen to paper if the club are able to return to the Champions League via a top-four finish or winning the Europa League this season.
The 27-year-old has just two years remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.
