Romelu Lukaku has reportedly recommended Chelsea to sign two of his former Inter Milan teammates Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar.
The Belgian number nine had two stellar seasons for the Nerazzurri, following his move from Manchester United in 2019, scoring 47 Serie A goals and winning the Scudetto last year.
Chelsea are believed to be in the market for a new central defender after having an offer for Sevilla's Jules Kounde rejected this summer.
According to Italian news outlet Sport Mediaset, Lukaku has recommended both Bastoni and Skriniar to the Blues hierarchy, suggesting the two defenders should be top targets for the club either in January or next summer.
Bastoni, who joined Inter from Atalanta in 2017, has cemented his place as a first-team regular in the last two seasons, after previous loan spells back at Atalanta and also with Parma.
The 22-year-old still has three years remaining on his current contract, while Skriniar – who has previously been linked with a move to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur – will see his contract expire in June 2023.
Bastoni and Skriniar started in defence in Inter's opening two Serie A matches of the new campaign, with the Nerazzurri winning 4-0 and 3-1 against Genoa and Hellas Verona respectively.
