Barcelona join the list of clubs interested in signing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly ready to rival the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

The 24-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign at club level, scoring 14 times and registering six assists in 50 appearances.

Kessie's future at San Siro is far from certain, though, as his current deal is due to expire next June, and it is believed that he has thus far rejected the chance to pen an extension.

A number of clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and PSG, are said to be competing for the midfielder's signature.

According to Mundo Deportivo, there is also firm interest from Barcelona, although the Catalan giants could struggle to place a lucrative contract on the table due to their financial problems.

As it stands, Kessie would be free to enter into discussions with foreign clubs in January, and Chelsea have allegedly already offered a deal worth €8m (£6.9m) a year to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
