Chelsea's potential new manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly approved the club's imminent attempt to sign Bayern Munich attacker Sadio Mane this summer.
The 31-year-old has endured a tough season with the Bavarians after joining from Liverpool last year, with Mane starting just 17 matches in the Bundesliga so far this term.
A post-match fight with teammate Leroy Sane after Bayern's loss at Manchester City in the Champions League has not helped Mane's reputation amongst the club's management and supporters, meaning the Senegal international could be set to depart.
According to Football Insider, Mauricio Pochettino has given his potential new employers Chelsea the green light to attempt to sign Mane this summer, with the former Tottenham Hotspur boss said to be a keen admirer of the player.
The report adds that Thomas Tuchel's side are open to offers for the winger and a bid of £30m could be enough to strike up an "instant deal" between Bayern and the Blues.
It is believed that Mane will be the London outfit's priority signing in the striking department as the club look to address issues in offensive areas that have cost them this season.
Caretaker boss Frank Lampard will take his side to the Emirates on Tuesday night in the Premier League to face Arsenal - a win in North London would be enough to take the Blues over the 40-point mark with just five matches left to play.
