Chelsea's hopes of signing Porto striker Hulk have been dealt a blow by the news that Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly willing to pay £43m for his services.
The Blues have apparently identified the Brazilian striker as the man they want to replace Didier Drogba after the Ivorian ended his eight-year stay at Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Champions League winners have supposedly registered a £30m bid for Hulk but current employers Porto are holding out for a larger fee.
That has alerted big-spening French outfit PSG, who are looking to add to their squad with several marquee signings.
Hulk himself has expressed his wish to join Chelsea but Roberto Di Matteo is now looking at other options after being priced out of a move for the 25-year-old.
