Report: Antonio Conte to use Nathaniel Chalobah this season

A report claims that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte turned down Leicester City's loan offer for Nathaniel Chalobah in the summer.

Nathaniel Chalobah will reportedly be given the chance to impress for Chelsea this season.

The England Under-21 international has been contracted to Chelsea since 2005, but has never represented the capital side's first team, spending the last four seasons out on loan.

The midfielder, whose loan stints have included Watford, Middlesbrough and Napoli, had been expected to leave Stamford Bridge once again this summer, but new boss Antonio Conte kept the Englishman at the club.

According to The Independent, Leicester City tried to sign Chalobah in the latter stages of the transfer window, but the Premier League champions were informed that the midfielder was not on the loan list.

Chalobah made nine appearances for Italian side Napoli during the 2015-16 campaign.
