Everton midfielder Ross Barkley could reportedly join Chelsea in January after seemingly turning down a move to the Premier League champions this summer.
Barkley was understood to be on the verge of a move to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth more than £30m, only to remarkably change his mind during his medical at Chelsea's Cobham training complex.
The 23-year-old, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, is now expected to stay at Everton beyond this evening's transfer deadline despite rejecting a new contract from his boyhood club earlier this summer.
However, The Telegraph reports that the deal is not completely dead yet and Barkley could still agree to join Antonio Conte's side in January.
Barkley has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur during the transfer window, although Spurs have cooled their interest in the England international.
