Chesterfield defender Sam Hird believes that the club are the "best team in the league" following their fourth straight win in League Two at the weekend.
The 2-0 win over Port Vale moved the club into 10th spot in the table, but Hird has called on his teammates to continue their march up the league.
"We believe we are one of, if not the best, team in the league and at the minute we're showing we can mix it with the teams at the top of this league. But we've got to keeping showing it and move up the table," Hird told the club's official website.
"It's going well. We are moving up the table slowly but surely, but because of our poor start we are still playing catch up. We are happy. We've got a really good squad. We've got quality all over the field. The way we are playing at the minute, we want to take that into our home form and make the Proact a fortress."
Chesterfield currently have the joint-best away record in the league.
