Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has stated that he will not speak to England boss Roy Hodgson about Scott Dann's omission from Three Lions duty.
The 28-year-old centre-back has been regarded as one of the most consistent performers in the Premier League since joining Palace in January 2014, and it had been suggested that Hodgson and his coaching staff were monitoring him.
However, Dann is yet to receive an international call-up, and Pardew has said that he would never attempt to interfere with Hodgson's squad selection.
"I think Roy has got a good set of centre-halves there, but Scott Dann threatens," the Palace boss told the Croydon Advertiser.
"Jason Puncheon threatens the midfield as well, but that's the England manager's job to stick his neck on the line and choose who decides. I'll never force his hand on who he should choose."
Dann has scored four times in 56 Premier League games for Palace.
