Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has revealed that he plans to sign a new contract at the club prior to this weekend's FA Cup final meeting with Manchester United.
The 54-year-old returned to Selhurst Park from Newcastle United in 2015, signing a three-and-a-half year deal.
Pardew delayed holding talks with Eagles chiefs over fresh terms until Premier League safety was confirmed for a third season in succession, following a run of two wins from their final 21 games.
With another campaign of top-flight football to look forward to, however, Pardew is now willing to put pen to paper prior to the Wembley showdown with United on Saturday.
"We are probably going to [sign] it before the game," he told reporters in his pre-match press conference.
Pardew also admitted that he is "looking forward" to locking horns with the Red Devils, in what will be a repeat of the 1990 final.
