Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has insisted that veteran striker Kevin Phillips is still capable of making an impact on the pitch.
The 40-year-old was serving in a coaching role prior to the former Stoke City boss's arrival at Selhurst Park, but Pulis believes that he still has much to offer as a player.
"I'm hoping Kevin will help us on the pitch never mind off it," Sky Sports News quotes Pulis as saying.
"So that's my thought, that Kevin will get involved with that, because he still has a great deal to offer us."
Palace visit Norwich City this Saturday for what is expected to be a fierce relegation clash.
