Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha signs a new five-year contract extension with the club, keeping him at Selhurst Park until 2023.

Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has committed his future to the club by signing a new five-year contract at Selhurst Park.

The 25-year-old was heavily linked with a move away from the club in the recent transfer window, but no deal materialised and he pledged his commitment to Palace following Saturday's season-opening win over Fulham.

Zaha has now put pen to paper on a five-year extension which will keep him at the Eagles until the end of the 2022-23 season.

"Wilf grew up a stone's throw from Selhurst Park from the age of four, and has been with the club since he was 12," chairman Steve Parish told the club's official website.

"This agreement is yet another example of his lifelong commitment to the club, and our commitment to him. This is an amazing day for everyone here at Palace, our supporters and of course Wilf – and is richly deserved."

Zaha added: "I'm very pleased. Obviously, I just wanted to get it over and done with, so I can just focus on the season. I'm buzzing that we managed to get it sorted."

The Ivory Coast international, who has won the club's Player of the Year award in each of the past three seasons, has made 288 appearances over his two spells with the Eagles, scoring 44 goals.

Zaha netted a career-high nine times in the top flight last term and is already off the mark this season, with his goal against Fulham seeing him become the club's joint-highest Premier League scorer.
