England manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that the Football Association is targeting friendly matches with Spain, Germany and the Netherlands if they qualify for the European Championships next summer.
Hodgson's team top Group E by six points, and are heavy favourites to secure their place at the finals later this year.
England will host France at Wembley in November, and Hodgson has said that matches against other major nations are on the cards.
He told reporters: "We'll have four or five games before France, and each of those will be played against top-class opponents, we think. We have Germany, France, Spain and Holland in mind."
England face Italy tonight in Turin.
