The Football Association are reportedly preparing to sit down with West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson today to discuss the England managerial role.
The governing body confirmed yesterday that they had been given permission by the Baggies to speak to Hodgson over the vacancy.
The news has caused a mix reaction from the public due to Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp being the overwhelming favourite to take the position.
It has been reported that the 64-year-old could be announced as Fabio Capello's permanent successor this week.
