Harry Redknapp has wished Roy Hodgson good luck following the West Bromwich Albion manager's emergence as the FA's preferred choice for the England job.
The Tottenham Hotspur manager had been widely tipped to fill the void left by Fabio Capello's resignation in February.
However, news has now broken that West Brom have granted the FA permission to talk to their manager.
"Good luck to Roy," The Sun quotes Redknapp as saying. "I can see my future at Tottenham and I would like to stay, but that is down to the chairman."
Hodgson has previously managed at international level with Finland, UAE and Switzerland.
