Kevin Pietersen has launched a rant on Twitter after being denied access to a first-class airport lounge because he was wearing flip-flops.
The former England cricketer was travelling from South Africa to Australia with Aussie airline Qantas when he was refused entry to a lounge during a flight connection.
Describing his choice of footwear as "an institution", Pietersen went on to brand the airport staff "muppets".
I suggest you tell Platinum, First Class fliers that they not allowed in your lounges with flip flops before they fly, @Qantas! Muppets! 😡
