Hannover have reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League with a 4-0 win over Standard Liege at the AWD-Arena.
A Mohammed Abdellaoue strike and two own goals from Kanu were enough to hand the Germans a 6-2 aggregate victory.
The hosts drew first blood after only four minutes when Abdellaoue was on hand to fire in.
Kanu put through his own net after 21 minutes before another own goal with 15 minutes to play sealed the win.
The win was sealed in injury time thanks to Sergio Pinto's goal.
