Leighton Baines welcomes Steven Pienaar return

Everton full-back Leighton Baines expresses his happiness at Steven Pienaar's return from injury.

Leighton Baines has praised his teammate Steven Pienaar for the impact that he made upon his return from injury for Everton yesterday afternoon.

The South African, who had spent the last seven weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring complaint, scored with his first touch after he had entered the action as a substitute to secure a 2-1 victory over Hull City.

"It is typical, it shows his importance and it was a great finish," Baines told reporters.

"Sometimes when you first come on the pitch your first couple of touches can be off when you've been out for such a long time but he showed his class and guided it into the corner."

The victory has seen the Toffees end the weekend in seventh spot.
