Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup is hoping to see Michu earn a call-up to the Spanish national team in the near future.

Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup has said that he is hoping to see Michu in a Spain shirt soon.

Spain manager Vicente del Bosque was in the stands at Goodison Park this afternoon to watch the uncapped 26-year-old during the Swans' 0-0 draw with Everton.

"Obviously this wasn't the best game to see Michu in because it was a very difficult game to show what he is capable of doing," Laudrup told BBC Sport.

"But I know Del Bosque has other people over here who can tell him how he has been playing.

"I hope he can get to play for Spain, who are the best team in the world right now."

Michu has scored 16 goals in 26 appearances this season.
