Everton manager Roberto Martinez has suggested that Ross Barkley is beginning to show his best form for club and country.
The 21-year-old midfielder was one of the standout peformers as England defeated Estonia and Lithuania in their final Euro 2016 qualifiers over the weekend, while he also added a goal against the latter on Monday night.
Martinez has hinted that Barkley is starting to deliver on his potential.
"I have been very impressed with him," the Spanish coach told the Liverpool Echo.
"Not just with his quality, because he will never lose that, but also his decision making, his impact, his role in the team and that responsibility because he wants to be the one leading every single attack we have.
"You can see, slowly, he is fulfilling that potential but he has the mentality of a great player."
Barkley has scored five goals in 14 appearances for Everton and England so far this season.
