Roberto Martinez has said that the understanding between Everton strikers Arouna Kone and Romelu Lukaku is "quite natural".
Kone recently returned from a year on the sidelines with a knee injury, while the Belgian had several weeks out with a hamstring problem, meaning that they have played just two games alongside each other up front in the Premier League this season.
The manager told the Liverpool Echo: "Some games need that sort of platform to play around a player like Arouna, who can hold up the ball and so we've played him and Rom in a front three and a front two.
"It is great to have Arouna fully fit now because we've not seen him make those right decisions or that final pass because he has been out for so long.
"Now, he is medically fully fit and he has been really strong for a few months. I do look forward to seeing him fully match fit because his understanding with Rom is quite natural and that makes football very enjoyable for both players."
