Everton attacker Yannick Bolasie concedes that his team were far from their best in Monday's 2-0 home defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League.

Everton attacker Yannick Bolasie has conceded that his team were far from their best in Monday's 2-0 home defeat to Manchester United.

The Toffees entered the match looking to bounce back from Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth. However, second-half goals from Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard saw United claim all three points.

Bolasie has admitted that his team struggled in the second 45 minutes after holding the Red Devils in the first, and the winger said that 'it was not a good way to start 2018'.

"You want to show the fans what we have. But it wasn't enough today. In the second half we dropped off after a good first half. It wasn't a good way to start the new year," Bolasie told Sky Sports News.

Bolasie has recently returned to the fold for Everton after more than 12 months on the sidelines with a serious knee problem.
