Preview: Everton vs. Blackburn

Everton are desperate to pick up points on home turf as they prepare to host Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

Everton will attempt to climb up the Premier League table with a win against Blackburn Rovers, while Steve Kean's side will be fighting for victory in order to stay out of the relegation zone.

Rovers will be encouraged by last week's 3-1 win over Fulham whereas David Moyes's side have struggled to find form in the league, failing to claim a win in their last three league matches.

On-loan player Landon Donovan is expected to remain in the side, while January signing Darron Gibson is also likely to start following his debut in the Toffees' 1-1 draw with Aston Villa last weekend.

Blackburn are likely to keep the same team that defeated Fulham last Saturday. There are questions over whether Chris Samba will feature for the Lancashire side following his transfer request on Monday.

Current form:

Everton: WDWLLD
Blackburn Rovers: LLDWLW

Possible lineups:

Everton: Howard; Neville, Heitinga, Duffy, Baines; Donovan, Gibson, Fellaini, Drenthe, Cahill; Saha

Blackburn: Robinson; Lowe, Hanley, Givet, Olsson; Nzonzi, Pedersen, Dunn, Petrovic, Hoilett; Yakubu

Sports Mole says: 1-1
