Everton are reportedly prepared to launch a bid for Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Although Pellegrini has endured a mixed few months, the 23-year-old remains highly regarded by clubs around Europe.
The Italy international currently wishes to extend his contract at Stadio Olimpico past the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
However, according to Calciomercato, the two parties remain far apart at the negotiation table, despite Pellegrini being open to removing his release clause.
The report suggests that Everton and Inter Milan are currently monitoring the situation ahead of making a bid in the summer.
Although Pellegrini has only contributed one goal from 22 outings in Italy's top flight and the Europa League this season, he has provided 10 assists.
