Santos chief reveals Everton interest in Yeferson Soteldo

Santos president Jose Carlos Peres claims that Everton are among the clubs interested in 22-year-old left-winger Yeferson Soteldo.

Santos president Jose Carlos Peres has revealed that Everton are interested in signing winger Yeferson Soteldo.

Soteldo only joined Santos from Chilean outfit Huachipato last summer but has already scored 10 goals and created seven more in 36 appearances for the club.

The 22-year-old has also been a full Venezuela international since 2016, winning 17 caps for his country, and Peres confirmed that there has been interest him.

"Soteldo is a young player who has sensational skills," Carlos Peres told Calciomercato.

"He is a player who decides games. All the big teams in Brazil asked me, Premier League teams like Everton want him."

Soteldo, who plays mainly as a left-winger, has previously been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and last month revealed his dream of playing for Manchester United one day.
