Pascal Dupraz hopes to "defy" Coupe de France odds

Pascal Dupraz admits that Bordeaux will be the favourites for tonight's Coupe de France final.

Evian TG coach Pascal Dupraz has admitted that Bordeaux are heavy favourites going into Friday night's Coupe de France final.

Dupraz said that Ligue 1 survival was the main target this season and that winning the cup would be the icing on the cake.

"The mission I accepted when I became coach was to keep the team up, so it has been very difficult all season long," Ligue1.com quotes Dupraz as saying.

"Back in September, getting to the Coupe de France final was not something we even dreamed about. However, we have deserved every win we have had in this competition, even if one was on penalties against the favourites.

"We knocked out the Parisian giants and then repeated our good performance against them by beating Lorient in the semi-finals. The problem is that we have lost twice to Bordeaux already this season. Bordeaux are the favourites, but we will do everything to defy the odds."

The Coupe de France final kicks off at 8pm.
