Fiorentina forward Adem Ljajic has been punished with a two-match suspension for insulting the referee during last night's 1-0 defeat to Roma.
Vincenzo Montella's side had a series of strong penalty appeals turned down during the crunch clash, most notably for a handball against Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi.
Pablo Osvaldo scored a late winner for Roma, with Ljajic confronting the referee with an angry protest after the full-time whistle.
The 21-year-old took his appeal too far in the tunnel and has been handed a two-match ban for his actions, ruling him out of Fiorentina's crucial Serie A games with Siena and Palermo.
La Viola coach Montella was also awarded a fine of £8,400 for insulting officials in the aftermath and warned about his future conduct.
