The agent of Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez has insisted that his client is staying at the Serie A club this summer.
An underwhelming performance in Thursday's 3-0 Europa League defeat to Sevilla has cast doubt on the German's future in Florence.
Coach Vincenzo Montella dropped the 29-year-old in Sunday's 3-2 win at Empoli to give rise to further speculation, but Ferber says that the rumours are reflective of the knee-jerk nature in modern football.
"He was described as a hero two weeks ago after the quarter-final against Dynamo Kiev," Ferber told Bild.
"People mustn't go overboard one way or the other. We have absolutely not changed our minds and Fiorentina have sent no new signals either.
"Mario feels at home in Florence and it is here that he wants to achieve his objectives."
Gomez joined the Italians from Bayern Munich in 2013.
