Martin Jol believes that his Fulham side will move away from the relegation zone soon.

Martin Jol is confident that his Fulham side will avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

The Dutchman's team are currently 16th in the Premier League table following today's 0-0 draw away at Sunderland.

"We are very confident we can climb away from the wrong end of the table," Jol told reporters in his post-match press conference.

"I am confident because if you saw us play at home against Everton no-one could believe it that we did not win. It was the same against Spurs. They had three attempts at goal and scored three times.

"We had 28 and couldn't score. It was an own goal. That was harsh. Against West Brom we should have won. Against Wigan we got three points and today showed that it not always easy to play in the Premier League away from home."

Jol took over at Craven Cottage during the summer.
