Huddersfield Town forward Steve Mounie has revealed his delight after scoring twice on his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
Mounie, who joined Huddersfield in an £11.5m deal from Montpellier earlier this summer, netted a brace at Selhurst Park as Huddersfield opened their Premier League campaign with an impressive 3-0 win.
The 22-year-old branded his start "amazing", and is already looking ahead to next weekend's home game against Newcastle United.
"It is amazing, a start like this and for me to score two goals on my Premier League debut. We won our first game and it is amazing for the fans, coach and all the people in Huddersfield," Mounie told BBC Sport.
"We worked all day during pre-season, we worked hard and the coach gave a us a lot of advice. The consequences of our work has shown and we hope we do well in the next game."
Mounie scored 15 times in 38 appearances for Montpellier during the 2016-17 campaign.
