The wife and agent of Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi is confident that the Argentine will sign a new long-term contract with the Italian giants.
The 25-year-old has scored 22 times in 24 Serie A matches for Inter this season, and it is understood that both Real Madrid and Barcelona are monitoring the in-form striker.
Icardi's current deal with Inter will run until the summer of 2021, but talks over a fresh deal have begun, and Wanda Nara believes that an agreement will soon be reached.
"I cannot foresee the future, but I can say that we like the project of the Zhang family," she told Gazzetta dello Sport. "They want to grow and get Inter back among the great clubs. In these years we have also remained without the Champions League. It is clear that we would like to achieve that this year.
"Mauro makes noise on the pitch, where he must make noise. We are all very relaxed about it. We are confident about the renewal and, when I meet the sports director at the stadium, we laugh and joke.
"I sometimes make the joke: every day that goes by, he is always worth more. But there is serenity in the air, no tension. Will the salary increase? When you renew a contract, it is done to improve the current situation. But we have not yet thought about the conditions and the figures."
Icardi has a release clause of £97m inserted into his current deal at Inter.
