Inter Milan are said to be planning to launch a late bid for Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi this month.
The Frenchman, who moved to Turin from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, has become a subject of interest for Inter after their bid for Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal reportedly failed.
The Old Lady are open to the prospect of parting ways with Matuidi, who is now 32, as well as Emre Can over the next year.
According to Mercato 365, Inter will make a late push for Matuidi, but it is understood that Juventus are reluctant to sell to a direct rival.
Matuidi's dispensibility has increased over the summer due to the club signing midfielders Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey on free transfers.
Juventus have expressed interest in striking a deal for Mauro Icardi, who is considered surplus to requirements by new manager Antonio Conte, but the Argentine looks set to stay put at San Siro.
