Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy has hailed the attitude of his players in their 2-1 win over Preston North End at Deepdale.
The Tractor Boys took the lead through Brett Pitman, who notched his first goal for the club since his move from Bournemouth, but Daniel Johnson brought the home side back into the game.
However, McCarthy's men upped the ante in the second half and found a winner courtesy of a stunning strike from Ryan Fraser.
McCarthy told the club's official website: "I was delighted to see Brett get his goal. He's a top lad and a top player. It was a bit of quality that won it for us in what was a really tough game.
"They were the better side in the first half. They won the individual battles but we scrapped it out. We were the better team in the second half though and had more of the ball and it's a terrific win for us and keeps up at the top of the league.
"We have won that game because players have been selfless for the team, for me, for the club, for the fans, for each other. If we continue to do that, we will have a successful season."
Ipswich are top of the Championship after four matches this season.
