Juventus forward Alessandro Matri admitted that he was surprised by the quality of his goal, but spoke of his delight with his side's response.
Matri played a key role in Juve's crucial 2-1 victory over Chievo this afternoon, scoring a good opening goal.
The 28-year-old said that the game was a "great response" to Napoli, who had drawn level on points with them with a 2-0 win over Catania on Saturday night.
Speaking about his goal, Matri said: "It felt like a great goal. Strange though, because normally when I strike it well, I don't score.
"But today it went well and we provided a great response to Napoli's win. These are the games that win you championships, not the direct encounters."
Juventus top the table with a three-point lead over their nearest rivals Napoli.
